IFMIS
Project Governance Structure
Because
the project is large and complex, it has needed very careful
planning and resourcing.
In order to enhance the chances of a successful
implementation, Government has adopted an IFMIS Project Charter,
which ensures that project management best practices are used
throughout the implementation.
The IFMIS Project
Charter is the high-level management document for the IFMIS
project. It is owned, maintained and utilised by the project's
Steering Committee to communicate the project goals and objectives,
including specific statements pertaining to the project scope to the
IFMIS Project Management Team (PMT) specifically and the Government
of The Gambia and other stakeholders, generally. The document will
be regularly reviewed and amended to meet changed conditions or
objectives during the life span of the project. It contains:

the project goals and objectives

A high-level
description of the Project Scope

A description of
the project’s governance structure

An outline of the
constraints and assumptions affecting the planning process

An outline of the
high-level Project Risks that have been identified
