IFMIS Implementation Plan – key dates

The IFMIS project will be implemented over a four (4) year period as follows:

Procurement of the IFMIS software, consultancy, training and IT/communications hardware

 

February 2006

Implementation of IFMIS activities commenced by the Supplier

 

February 2006 – July 2007

Pilot implementation of Phase I of the IFMIS, which will cover 6 Pilot sites

 

2nd January 2007

IFMIS Go-live date for Phase 1

 

January 2007 – July 2007

Parallel run, testing and operational acceptance activities

 

July 2007 – December 2007

Periodic financial reports, Budget module post-implementation processes and Phase 1 closure activities

 

January 2008 – December 2008

Implementation of Phase 11 of the IFMIS, which will cover 17 Departments of State.

 

January 2009

End of year financial reports, Budget post-implementation processes and Phase 11 closure activities

 

February 2009 – June 2009

Implementation of Phase 111.A. of the IFMIS which will cover interfaces with the Debt Management, ASYCUDA, Personnel Management, Tax Administration and Central Bank systems

 

February 2009 – December 2009

Implementation of Phase 111.B. of the IFMIS which will cover additional modules at the Directorate of National Treasury

 

January 2010
